Join us during Portaferry Gala Fest for one of the peninsula’s biggest annual sporting events as runners from across Northern Ireland and beyond take on the scenic Portaferry 10 Mile Road Race and 5 Mile Relay.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Strangford Lough and the Ards coastline, this professionally organised road race offers a challenging but rewarding route for competitive runners, relay teams, and local participants alike.

Race numbers can either:

  • Be posted in advance (if selected during registration), or

  • Collected from Race HQ from 4:30PM on race day.

10 Mile Road Race

  • £22 ANI Registered

  • £24 Unregistered

  • Minimum age: 17

5 Mile Relay

  • £24 per team

  • Minimum age: 16

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd Female

Important Information

  • Entries are strictly limited to 500 participants

  • Entries close Sunday 19 July 2026 at 6PM

  • No entries will be accepted on race day

  • Car parking will be available — please follow directions from race marshals

  • In-ear or over-ear headphones are not permitted during the race (except medically prescribed devices) in accordance with UKA Rule 240 S5
