The highlight of our events calendar
Portaferry Gala Fest is a seven day festival created by local volunteers eager to offer visitors an authentic experience of the unique character of the Upper Ards Peninsula’s landscape, culture, history, charm and craic.
The multiple events offer competitions, talks on local history, tales, folklore and legends and creative workshops while our pioneering spirit is displayed through quirky activities such as Paper Boat races, Crazy Hair-do competitions, Pitching the Sheaf.
