Site Ed: Actually we've had quite a few complaints about the language used on Po Day, especially in the Square, the comments will be taken on board.

My Gala week was ruined by the language used by the winners on Po Day. I was in the square with my two young grandsons when the "Po Recovery" truck came up to Fiddlers. To say I was mortified by the "song" they were chanting would be an understatement. I do not expect to hear that kind of language in a public place in the middle of the afternoon. If this event is part of Gala Week and it is in the programme, then the Gala needs to take control of it and ensure this doesn't happen again. I was also amazed, after hearing all week on the radio that the Police were "clamping down" on drinking in public, that most of the winners had drink in their hands. This paints a terrible picture of the town to visitors and sets a terrible example to the young.
