Thursday, June 17th, 2010If you live in an older part of the town, you may like to take a look at this link, it’ll take you to the returns for 1901 Census of Ireland and lists everyone who lived in Portaferry on Sunday March 31st 1901. It really an interesting read, it’s also interesting to note the number of family names which are still in the town today, some even in the same street !
